PACIFIC CONSULTANTS GROUP 's Human Rights Policy

PACIFIC CONSULTANTS GROUP (hereinafter referred to as "the Group") has the mission of "realizing a prosperous life in which no one around the world is threatened" and "passing on a beautiful global environment, the source of all life, to future generations," and its management philosophy is to continue providing new value to society through advanced services centered on infrastructure engineering.

Our group's mission and management philosophy can only be realized when the human rights of all people involved in our business activities are respected. We recognize that respect for human rights is the foundation for putting our management philosophy into practice and contributing to the realization of a sustainable society, and that it is an important responsibility that we must fulfill throughout all our business activities.

Based on the above, in order to clarify our commitment to respecting people's human rights through our business activities and to further contribute to the realization of a prosperous life for people, our Group's Board of Directors has adopted the following Human Rights Policy (hereinafter, this Policy).

Scope of application

This policy applies to all officers and employees of our group. We also request that all business partners, including collaborators, partner companies, JV partners, and suppliers, understand and respect this policy, and act in accordance with its spirit.

Basic stance on respect for human rights

Our group is committed to upholding our responsibility to respect human rights, in accordance with international norms, including the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. In addition to complying with the laws and regulations of each country and region applicable to our group, we respect internationally recognized human rights, including those stipulated in the International Bill of Human Rights (Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Human Rights) and the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. When faced with conflicting demands between laws and internationally recognized human rights, we will pursue ways to comply with laws while respecting international human rights principles to the greatest extent possible.

We recognize that our business activities related to social infrastructure services involve diverse stakeholders at every stage, and that various human rights issues may arise. We will strive to promote respect for human rights while engaging in meaningful dialogue with these stakeholders.

Main initiatives regarding respect for human rights

As part of our commitment to respecting human rights based on this policy, our group will particularly promote the following:

Our group continuously implements a "human rights due diligence" process that involves identifying and assessing potential or actual negative impacts on human rights that may arise through our business activities and business relationships, working to stop, prevent, and mitigate such impacts, tracking and evaluating the effectiveness of our response, and disclosing information appropriately.

(2) Operation of corrective and remedial measures and complaint handling mechanisms
If it becomes clear that our group has caused or exacerbated negative impacts on human rights through our business activities or business relationships, we will work to rectify such impacts and provide relief to victims. Furthermore, to enable prompt remediation and relief, we will establish consultation and reporting channels accessible to internal and external stakeholders and work to operate an effective complaint handling mechanism.

(3) Implementation of human rights training and education
To promote understanding and implementation of this policy, our group will continuously provide training and education to our officers and employees, and will also disseminate and support this policy to our business partners.

Promotion System and Governance

Our group will establish a group-wide and cross-departmental promotion system to advance human rights respect initiatives based on this policy, and will regularly monitor the implementation status of this policy under the supervision of Board of Directors.
